About Emmie

In my spare time you will find me spending time with my friends and family, hanging out with my two dogs, at the beach, in nature, watching a movie, or enjoying a good coffee or great food.

A little more about your psychologist…

I am a generally registered psychologist who completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours and a Masters of Professional Psychology at the Australian Catholic University in Brisbane. I have experience working with people across the lifespan, within a range of settings including private practice, schools and universities. I have also worked extensively in the out-of-home-care (OOHC) sector in both foster care and residential settings with intensive needs clients that present with complex trauma, emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties.

I am experienced in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of conditions include but are not limited to, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mood-related disorders, anxiety disorders, poor social skills, trauma/abuse, self-esteem, and other emotional and behavioural concerns.

I care very deeply about my clients, and I enjoy spending time establishing a genuine and trusting relationship with each one of them. I always take a sensitive and non-judgemental approach to identifying, understanding, and meeting you own individual needs so that together, we can work towards their own individual therapeutic goals.
